2016 Draft Mock Comparison

Mock Draft Pick
Actual Draft Pick
1. Philly - Marcus Marriota, QB -Will take a QB, question is do you go Marriota for the better card this year or Jameis?  We will go with the better card but it is a toss up here.
St. Louis Lions - Todd Gurley, Well it was hard to account for Philly moving up/down/in/out all over the first round. He did actually have StL taking Gurley at number 2.
2. St Louis - Todd Gurley, RB - not much of a stretch here with a depth chart of Gore and Sproles, adding Gurley to the strat beast Kirk Cousins where the high completion % matters more than in real life
Philadelphia Wiseguys - Jameis Winston, Philadelphia's love for Winston and unrequited lust for Gurley results in the Bucs QB going #2.
3. Death Valley - Jameis Winston, QB - going to be a tough call for Nate here.  Flacco has not proven to be a franchise QB in Strat and the QB position is very hard to come by and the most important position on the field, Jameis might not start right away.  Malcolm Butler would be a great pick here as well as any of the other top CB's but with three 5's at CB I say go QB here.
Sin City Godfathers - Marcus Marriota, the Draft Doc has the correct first three players but three different TFL teams drafting them so the order is jumbled.
4. Delco - Malcolm Butler, CB - Can't ignore a 6 CB even though Delco is loaded with young talent in the DB, could go for need here and take Rawls or Slauson to fill a hole at OC
Delco Owls - David Johnson, the Draft Guru was thinking CB but he suspected a HB could go and he did. The Multi-threat RB adds more offense and S/T help to Delco.
5. Philly - Leonard Williams, DT/DE - nice to have such a strong roster and have 2 picks in the top five.  Williams is one of the best players in the draft and upgrades Philly along the D line.  Could also go DB here and take Peters or Darby and add to great DB depth.
Philadelphia Wiseguys - Amario Cooper, additional proof that there is no trying to match the logic of the Wiseguys brain trust. Lot's to like about the Cooper card.
6. Flagstaff - Marcus Peters, CB - Choice is between Darby and Peters, both should be 6's for years to come and besides being 2 of the best players on the big board, they also help to upgrade the D Backfield in a division that includes Brady, Big Ben, Andy Dalton and Aaron Rodgers
Flagstaff Savages - Malcolm Butler, the CB was supposed to be off the board and the Doc was seeing a CB go here so we're going to call this a hit, even better than Flagstaff hoped for.
7. Woodbridge - Ronald Darby, CB - The defending champs add another stud to the defensive backfield which could boast three 6's for the near future
Woodbridge Barons - Marcus Peters, the chain of events continues. The Doc says another CB goes here and he's correct. One pick later than in the mock draft.
8. Sin City - Delvin Breaux, CB - Sin City has a good offense and adding the former CFL star upgrades the CB situation significantly
Philadelphia Wiseguys - Leonard Williams, how smart is Doc Strange? He had Philly grabbing Williams at #5. Instead Philly drops down to #8 and then picks the guy that was destined to them in the Doc Mock.
9. Erie - Malcolm Brown, DT - Erie was hoping one of the CB's would fall to him but he is able to improve the DT spot with the best D lineman left on a good NFL team
Erie Silence - Ronald Darby, "Erie was hoping one of the CB's would fall to him" yikes this is spooky (or should I say eerie). A CB did fall and now he's with the Silence.
10. Oakville - Richie Incognito, OG - Hard to ignore the 6 rated OG on the board with holes to fill in a lot of places.  Bullying is allowed and encouraged in the Hoosiers "Bobby Knight Locker Room"
Oakville Hoosiers - Jadeveon Clowney, the first clear swing and a miss. Oakville goes to the opposite side of the ball and grabs the highly touted OLB.
11. Death Valley - Amari Cooper, WR - Nate upgrades the offense again with the best WR in the draft to grow up with Jameis tossing him the pigskin.
Death Valley Dukes - Malcolm Brown, obviously Cooper wasn't a consideration at this point as he was long gone. Instead the Defensive Tackle from New England goes to the Valley.
12. Tampa - Jadaveon Clowney, OLB - Aidan needs OLB's and the former #1 overall certainly has the pedigree.
Tampa Cubans - Tyler Lockett, the inaugural pick for this coach so with Clowney off the board Tampa goes with the electric WR from Seattle.
13. Golden State - Thomas Rawls, RB - The replacement for Beast Mode will have a great card this year and a bright future.
Golden State Rooks - Byron Jones, another miss here as the Rooks pass on the available Rawls and takes the best Safety in the draft.
14. Utica - Josh Kline, OG - Utica fills a hole at OG. Final piece of the overall #1 trade from last year.
Utica Spartans - Thomas Rawls, Utica saw Rawls as a #13 value so why not step up and take him at 14? The Spartans like the new RB here.
15. Goose Bay - David Johnson, RB - Great upgrade at HB to go along with Derek Carr.  Goose Bay needs help on the defensive side of the ball but with most of the cream of the draft gone from the D side of things this pick makes a lot of sense.
Goose Bay Raiders - Brandon Scherff, the mocked David Johnson has already signed a contract and is practicing with his new team Delco so the Raiders get one of those big nasties to bolster the "O" line.
16. Sin City - Byron Jones, S - Jones fills a need and is best rated DB  left on the board. Perfect fit for the Godfathers here with their 2nd pick in the 1st round
Philadelphia Wiseguys - Markus Golden, wait wasn't Philly supposed to be done already in round 1? He's back so the wild card draft pick ends up being the OLB Golden.
17. St Paul - Matt Slauson, OC - The 5/7 center falls to James here and fills a need.
Saint Paul Saints - Mario Edwards, another pick that our draft Guru didn't see coming. Suspecting a run on OLB's St. Paul doesn't want to be left out and grabs Mario Edwards.
18 Alta Loma - Jaye Howard, DE/NT - Perfect fit for the Beagles as Coach Murphy has a very solid offense but is in need of a lot of help on the defensive side of things.  Will start at DE right away.
Alta Loma Beagles - Melvin Gordon, seems like mock is running out of gas. Instead of the swing NT/DE the Beagles show their belief in the running back Gordon. Could turn out to be a heck of a pick….
19. Bay Osprey - Duke Williams, RB - Speculative pick for Bay here. Their defense is absolutely loaded.  Williams adds a great weapon to help Matthew Stafford along with the Murray boys.
Bay Ospreys - Rob Havenstein, it must have been pretty late as the Mock Doc has Bay picking someone who isn't even in the draft. Seems like Havenstein is a better fit than whoever Duke Williams is.
20. Arizona - Tyler Lockett, WR - Scott makes his first pick of the draft with the 3rd,7th and 20th picks of the 2nd round to follow the Air Raid will add to a loaded team and will be poised to dominate in the near future. Lockett will be a great addition and try to fill the shoes of Calvin Johnson after his last carded season and with a TD on both PR and KR it is a fun pick as any needs can be filled in the next round.
Arizona Air Raid - Delvin Breaux, they're already selling Lockett jerseys in Tampa but Arizona is more than willing to take the strong CB with the cool name. This guy isn't sup
