The Kiefer Sutherlands, the Traditional Football League team that celebrated its move earlier this year, won't be playing in 2018.
The Sutherlands announced Wednesday they are suspending operations.
The team said on its website the decision was made "due to the fact that the city of Kiefer, Oklahoma had no football stadium or the rights of the name Kiefer. Kiefer is a town in Creek County, Oklahoma, United States. The population was 1,685 at the 2010 census
Over the course of the past several years, the Dukes had focused on building and growing our winning franchise despite significant issues at the league level that have impaired our ability to be successful.''
The Dukes franchise are still looking for an owner and home in 2018.
